Winter Solstice
Rest & Ritual
Thursday December 18th 6-8pm
Join us for a 2-hour Winter Solstice gathering designed to soften the edges of December and bring you back home to yourself.
We’ll begin with gentle, restorative yoga to unwind the body, followed by a deeply restful Yoga Nidra practice with an angelic soundscape by Mei-Lan. We’ll honour the turning of the season with a simple Solstice Flower Ceremony and guided journalling to release the year and welcome what’s next.
We’ll close in circle with warm turmeric saffron mylk and a moment of shared gratitude.
This workshop is beginner-friendly, slow, and nourishing. All bodies and all identities are welcome. Come exactly as you are.
This evening is perfect for you if…
You’ve been feeling depleted, overstimulated, or “on” all the time
You crave quiet, candlelight, and slowness
You want ritual without dogma, and community without pressure
You’re ready to end the year feeling more grounded, not more burned out
What you’ll experience
An evening designed to gently unwind your body, quiet your mind, and honour the turning of the season.
Gentle Movement & Restorative Yoga
We’ll begin with slow, grounding movement and supported restorative poses to soften tired muscles, release tension, and help your nervous system shift out of “go mode.” Expect cozy props, long exhales, and zero pressure to push or perform.
Deep Rest with Yoga Nidra
Once your body is settled, you’ll be guided into a deep, meditative rest practice known as Yoga Nidra. Lying down in a supported “nest” of blankets and bolsters, you’ll move through a gentle body scan and visualization, held by Mei-Lan’s Angelic Frequencies soundscape. You might drift in and out of sleep—this is welcomed.
Solstice Flower Ceremony
Together, we’ll gather around a simple Solstice altar. Each person will be invited to place a flower in the centre as a quiet ritual of release and intention—letting go of what you no longer need to carry, and calling in what you’re ready to welcome with the returning light.
Guided Journalling
You’ll receive a few gentle prompts to reflect on the year that’s passing and the season ahead. This is time just for you: to listen inward, untangle your thoughts, and anchor what’s arising from practice and ritual.
Gratitude Circle & Turmeric Saffron Mylk
We’ll close in community with a warm mug of turmeric saffron mylk, sharing (only if you wish) one thing you’re grateful for or an intention you’re carrying into winter. This final circle is a soft landing—a reminder that you’re not doing this season alone.
