This gathering invites participants to slow down, listen deeply, and learn from local plants through relationship rather than extraction. Guided by Thomas and Candice, we’ll explore Indigenous plant knowledge, respectful harvesting, habitat, cultural protocols, and the responsibilities we carry when learning from the land.
Throughout the day, participants will take part in hands-on preparations using devil’s club for salves, cedar for essential oils, sweetgrass for room spray, and quxmeen seeds, also known as wild celery, for tea. These preparations will be shared alongside stories, teachings, and conversations about reciprocity, care, and what it means to be in respectful relationship with plants and place.
This is a grounded, place-based gathering for anyone who feels called to learn about local plants in a respectful and relational way. No previous herbalism experience is required.
