The Peri Pause
A grounded retreat for perimenopause + menopause
Perimenopause isn’t a breakdown. It’s a threshold.
The Peri Pause is a grounded, body-first gathering for anyone moving through perimenopause or menopause who wants real support without hustle, shame, or “just push through” energy. Across one or two nourishing days, you’ll be held by Ayurveda, community acupuncture, nervous-system insight, ceremony, and sound, so you can land back in your body and meet this season with more steadiness, clarity, and connection.
What You’ll Experience
Ayurvedic wisdom for perimenopause (Agni, Pitta/Vata/Kapha shifts, supportive practices)
Community acupuncture with regular or needle-free options
A nervous-system and neuroscience-informed exploration of rage (and what it’s asking for)
A flower mandala ceremony for reflecting on change and stepping into what’s next
A closing sound bath for deep rest and integration
A small, intimate group with space to breathe and be human
Nourishing meals, safe community and peace of mind, body and soul

Facilitators + Sessions
Agni Rising: Tending the Sacred Fire of Perimenopause
In Ayurveda, perimenopause is not a decline, but a transformation of Agni—our sacred inner fire that governs digestion, vitality, clarity, and spiritual energy. As Agni shifts, some experience heat, sleep changes, restlessness, emotional intensity, or new sensitivities. Rather than suppressing the changes, Ayurveda invites us to tend the fire with care and listen to what the body is saying. This session is educational and experiential, exploring supportive herbs, rituals, and daily practices. Participants will also craft a custom Ayurvedic massage oil aligned with their constitution, learn self-massage techniques, and leave with an Ayurvedic Perimenopause Self-Care Bag to continue their supportive sadhana at home.
Arpita
Yumiko
Rage, Hormones, and the Nervous System
Rage can be a common experience in this season—and it’s often misunderstood as something to fix, suppress, or pacify. Yumiko offers a grounded, neuroscience-informed exploration of how shifting hormones can impact the brain, sensory processing, nervous system, and mood. Together we’ll name the landscape rage grows in, including invisible labour, silenced needs, and systemic inequalities—and explore what it might look like to build a different relationship with rage, reclaim voice, and claim space.
Alex
Sound Bath
Close the weekend with a nourishing sound bath designed to help you soften, settle, and integrate…an invitation into deep rest for body, mind, and nervous system.
Second Spring & Community Acupuncture for Perimenopause
Join Dr. Jiselle ND for grounding support through perimenopause with community acupuncture, a collective model of care that many people find calming and deeply resourcing. Each participant can choose a regular or needle-free treatment to support the physical, mental, and emotional shifts that can come with hormonal and life transition.

Embracing Change (Workshop + Flower Mandala Ceremony)
A workshop and ceremony to step into the unknown and trust that new possibilities and opportunities await. Through an inspired talk, dialogue with others, journaling, and a flower ceremony, we’ll reflect on change, transitions, and what it means to shed old patterns—embodying courage, fearlessness, and trust as we step onto the threshold of a new life chapter.
