Moon & Earth Medicine

Monthly cacao, yoga + sound gatherings at The Reverie

6:30–8:30 pm · $55 per gathering

A monthly evening gathering shaped by the rhythms of the moon and the cosmic themes of each cycle.

Each Moon + Earth Medicine circle is a little different. Guided by the energy of the current lunation, we’ll gather over cacao before moving into either a gentle yoga practice or an immersive sound bath, along with meditation, reflection, learning and time to connect in community.

These evenings are designed to be experiential, but they’re also a place to learn. Valentina and Alex will share some of the history, philosophy and traditions behind the practices they offer…from cacao and its cultural roots to yoga philosophy, sound, meditation and the ways these practices can support us in everyday life.

Come exactly as you are. Bring your curiosity and leave with something you’ve experienced, something you’ve learned and, hopefully, something meaningful to carry home with you.

Light refreshments and tea provided.

The Circles

August 27 · Pisces Full Moon (Into the Deep)

Intuition · surrender · reflection · release

A full moon gathering for turning inward and listening a little more closely. Together we’ll explore what is surfacing, what we may be ready to loosen our grip on and what becomes possible when we allow ourselves to move beneath the surface.

September 10 · Virgo New Moon (Sacred Practice)

Intention · devotion · discernment · tending

A grounding new moon circle centred on the small, intentional practices that shape our lives. An invitation to consider what deserves our care, what we want to cultivate and what might change when intention becomes practice.

October 26 · Taurus Full Moon (The Art of Enough)

Embodiment · nourishment · pleasure · receiving

An evening devoted to slowing down and returning to the body. We’ll explore what truly nourishes us, where we might soften our striving and what it means to recognize — and receive — what is already here.

November 23 · Gemini Full Moon (Between the Lines)

Story · curiosity · perspective · communication

A curious exploration of the stories we carry, the perspectives we inherit and the things that live beneath what is spoken. This circle invites listening, reflection and the possibility of seeing a familiar story from somewhere new.

December 7 · Sagittarius New Moon (Into the Unknown)

Vision · meaning · possibility · expansion

Our final gathering of the season looks toward what lies ahead — not through resolutions or pressure to reinvent ourselves, but through curiosity. What is calling us forward? What feels meaningful? And what might become possible if we leave a little room for the unknown?

Who it’s for

Moon + Earth Medicine is for women, two-Spirit, non-binary and gender-diverse folks who are craving a little more space to slow down, connect and be curious.

You don’t need to know anything about astrology, cacao, yoga or sound healing, and you definitely don’t need to consider yourself “spiritual.” Come if you’re drawn to meaningful conversation, embodied practices, learning about different traditions, or simply spending an evening doing something that feels nourishing and a little out of the ordinary.

Come on your own or with someone you love. No experience required!

Meet your Guides

Alex · Yoga + Sound

Holistic Healing Practitioner

I am on this path as a Holistic Healing practitioner with a goal to build a community that value holistic wellbeing and a fulfilling connection with life. My main practices include Reiki, Sound healing, Yoga, and Mindfulness.

All offerings and community gatherings are created with the vision of honoring each of our unique healing journeys, and together leaving the world a little better than we found it.

Some evenings may invite gentle, intentional movement…an opportunity to slow down, notice the body and explore the teachings of yoga beyond the physical practice. Others will invite stillness through sound, creating space to rest, listen and experience vibration in a deeply felt way.

Alongside the practice itself, Alex will share some of the philosophy, knowledge and intention behind what we are experiencing, offering simple ways these practices can continue to support us long after the evening ends.

Valentina Pinzón · IndiArts Collective

Born and raised in Bogotá, Colombia, Valentina Pinzón is the founder of IndiArts Collective, a Colombian-Canadian social enterprise rooted in culture, tradition and connection. Through IndiArts, Valentina has spent years sharing the work and stories of South American artisans while creating opportunities to learn from and honour the cultures behind the practices and objects we encounter.

Her relationship with cacao is grounded in this same spirit of cultural connection. Valentina shares cacao as more than a superfood — as a living plant teacher with deep ancestral roots throughout Central and South America. Through story, preparation and shared experience, she invites us to learn about cacao’s origins and cultural significance while exploring ways to work with Mama Cacao intentionally in our own lives.

At each gathering, Valentina will offer a different preparation of cacao, weaving in seasonal flavours, teachings and traditions to complement the theme of the evening.

Adrienne Miller · The Reverie

Adrienne is the founder and host of The Reverie, an intimate retreat and gathering space in Lantzville, Vancouver Island. With a background in teaching, photography, events and creative work, she is drawn to bringing people, ideas and experiences together in ways that feel thoughtful, welcoming and meaningful.

Through The Reverie, Adrienne curates retreats, workshops and community gatherings rooted in curiosity, learning, rest and connection. Her role is to create the container — bringing together practitioners, traditions and experiences while making space for people to arrive as they are, try something new and discover what resonates.

What you can expect

Cacao with Valentina

Each gathering includes a cacao circle led by Valentina Pinzón of IndiArts Collective.

Born and raised in Bogotá, Colombia, Valentina brings a deep respect for culture, tradition and connection to her work. Through cacao, storytelling and intentional preparation, she shares the cultural roots of this ancestral plant while inviting us into a deeper relationship with what we drink, where it comes from and how we gather around it.

The cacao itself will shift with the season and the theme of each circle, with different preparations and flavours…from ginger and cinnamon to other warming, aromatic additions, making every evening its own experience.

Yoga + Sound with Alex

Alex of Nichi Healing brings the embodied practice to each circle, alternating between gentle yoga and immersive sound depending on the theme of the evening.

Alex’s work brings together yoga, mindfulness, Reiki and Himalayan singing bowls with a focus on slowing down, reconnecting with ourselves and creating space to simply notice what is here.

Some sessions we’ll move. Some sessions we’ll rest into sound. Each practice will be thoughtfully chosen to complement the energy and intention of that particular gathering.

Community & Heart

Moon + Medicine grew from a desire to create evenings that are both nourishing and genuinely interesting…a place to experience beautiful practices while also learning where they come from, asking questions and connecting with others in a warm, unhurried space.

You can expect relaxation, new friendships, and a restoring connection to yourself, nature and a kind and nurturing community.

What to Bring

Come in comfortable clothing and anything that helps you settle in.

We provide yoga mats, blankets, meditation cushions and bolsters, and an eye mask if you enjoy using one during meditation or sound.

You may also want to bring a journal and pen for anything you’d like to remember or reflect on.

There’s no need to arrive on an empty stomach. Eat in whatever way helps you feel comfortable and grounded; we simply recommend avoiding a very heavy meal immediately before taking part in the cacao circle.

Please let us know in advance about any food allergies, sensitivities or accessibility needs so we can make the evening as comfortable as possible for you.

Come for one, or return each month.

There is no need to attend the full series.

Each Moon + Earth Medicine gathering stands on its own.

However, together the five evenings follow the shifting energy of the season…from depth and devotion to enoughness, perspective and possibility.
